Jester Resigns, Thanks Nancy for all that you have done

Today Nancy Jester announced her resignation from the DeKalb County School Board.  It is heartening to know that there are some elected officials who set a standard and live by it  despite of the consequences.  Nancy knew  where this BOE stuff could lead and continued to stand up for what she felt was right.

"I hope that the next chapter for DeKalb schools brings about a reformation that begins to fulfill our obligation to our children," Jester said. "I hope this next chapter offers the taxpayers a product worthy of their investment." Nancy Jester

Here is a copy of an email that I sent to Nancy just minutes ago.  Everyone who has a stake in our kids education should be sending her the same.

I cannot tell you how proud I am of the stance and position you have taken while on the BOE. It is not very often that an elected official truly steps up and puts his or her job on the line based on a principle. Other officials should take note of your actions.
Thank you for all of your hard work on behalf of all the kids, not only Dunwoody but all of DeKalb County.
Take a little time and decide what you are going to do next, but you belong back on the NEW Board.

Thanks Nancy
